The Montenegro Family:
Jorge Montenegro and his wife Jenny arrived in Bolivia at the same time we did in June of 2006 to begin the ministry here with us. Coco graduated from the Macedonia Baptist Seminary in Arequipa Peru and Jenny grew up as a pastors daughter in the capital city of Lima Peru. We have been able to work together sharing the responsibilities in the ministry accomplishing much more than what we would be able to do alone.
The Laura Family:
Lorenzo Laura and his wife Victoria were married in 1992 in the city of Arequipa Peru. They both trusted Christ in that same year and two years later Lorenzo surrendered to the call of the Lord and began preparing for the ministry. He was a pastor in Peru for 8 years at the Springs of Life Baptist Church where he had five young men surrender and enter into the ministry. In 2004 Lorenzo, his wife, and two children Mark and Stephanie resigned from the church where they were working and surrendered to go to Bolivia as missionaries. They have been working in the city of Cobija, a city of about twenty thousand, for about three years now. The Lord has blessed their ministry and although they have had to relocate several times they now have their own land and are building a church building where they can meet. This will help them become a self supporting church.
