Remembering the Lord’s Death

This past Sunday the Lord gave us a very special day at church. In the morning the Lord blessed us with our highest attendance of 95 people with several visiting for the first time. In the night service we celebrated the Lord’s Supper for the first time. We spent both the morning and evening services teaching the people the true purpose, importance and requirements to be able to participate. Here in Bolivia like many countries that are predominately Catholic they believe that the Lord’s Supper is a part of them gaining their salvation. It was a beautiful time to see many new Christians reflecting and truly realizing what the Lord had done for them.

Great Day

We praise the Lord for another great day at church today. We had 85 this morning for our regular service and 52 tonight. We have been seeing the Lord work in many peoples lives and many are excited bringing family and friends to visit. In the morning  we had one man visiting and in the night service we had around six people visiting with the visitor from the morning service returning. While we praise the Lord for the great attendance our greatest desire is to see the lives of many changed through the Word of God. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give us much fruit for our labor.

2nd Annual Kid’s Festival

Here in Bolivia although more and more people are starting to participate in Halloween the major emphasis is on what is called “the day of the dead”. This usually takes place on the 1st of November and is a tradition where the people take food and other things that to the grave site of their dead loved ones. The idea is that their spirits come back and receive their offering that was given. At the church we try to give the children an alternative to these things with the opportunity to share the word of God with them. This past Wednesday the 31st we had our second annual Children’s Festival. We spent a few days inviting people to the activity and especial a few hours before we went out and passed out flyers as the kids were returning from school. As the people arrived we had a special service for the kids upstairs while we presented the gospel to the adults downstairs who were visiting. Afterwards we had an hour or so of games and activities for all present. The Lord truly blessed as we had our highest attendance ever with 136 people present and even more important than that was that we had four adults who trusted Christ as Savior.
